Ft. Wayne, IN — On September 19, 2011, a planting of two Johnny Appleseed trees was held at The Orchard Gift Shop at the Ft. Wayne Tincaps minor league stadium.  This tree planting was coordinated by Trees Indiana with the Johnny Appleseed Museum in Urbana, OH.  Representing the museum was its Director, Joe D. Besecker and his wife, Renee.  This was one of many tree plantings held in the Ft. Wayne area in remembrance of Johnny Appleseed’s 237th birthday.
