The high school Ag and Hort classes lead the first and second graders at Grant Elementary in tree planting instruction.  32 trees were planted today using student power, and some great teachers, groundskeepers, and local nursery assistance.  The kids learned how to correct encircling roots, what proper planting depth is, and proper mulching.  The new elementary school will now have shade for their  playground, trees to see out their classroom windows, and new street trees as well.  For more information about the Trees For Kids Grant, go to:  Grant and funding opportunites page at the Iowa Grove
