I am the Resident Manager at College Gardens AOAO, a 120 unit condo complex in Pearl City. I have introduced natives and introduced trees to the property. If the tree is in the right location such in the hedge line, I will let it grow. I have four Scheffleria, 2 Christmas berry, 2 macaranga, mock orange, lemon and an as yet unknown tree now growing in the hedge line. I have a slope between our property and LCC where I am allowing pink Tacoma to grow when it is in the right spot to eventually shade the building. Also on this slope I have planted plumeria, hala, kukui, dwarf koa, ti and monkey pod. I have introduce lonomea and alahee with in grounds along with the native fan palm, Prichardia remota.
