Colorado is experiencing one of its worst fire seasons since the devastating 2002 fire season.  Fires across the state have ravaged both private and public lands.  The destructive Waldo Canyon Fire in the Colorado Springs area burned into the city’s west side and has not only destroyed native forests in that area, but much of the urban forest in those areas as well.  The Colorado Tree Coalition (CTC) currently administers both ReForest Colorado and the Colorado Tree Trust (CTT) to provide assistance to communities whose forests have been impacted by natural disasters.
