The NC Urban Forest Council presents an opportunity for local tree boards to improve their ability to function more efficiently and effectively within their communities. It’s also a chance to learn more about tree care practices and urban forest management, to help move your community forestry program forward.

Tree Inventories: Foundational Tools for Effective Forest Management

Speaker: Joseph Joyner, Urban Forestry Consultant with Davey Resource Group

The urban forest is a community asset, and proper asset management requires accurate information. A tree inventory can provide a wealth of information critical for efficient planning, management, and maintenance decisions. This webinar will review the basics of a tree inventory, introduce the various inventory types and methods, and discuss how inventory data is utilized to inform and improve urban forest maintenance and management.
