Paul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund

Dear Urban Forestry Friends –

Many of you likely knew Paul Revell, and likely benefitted from the generous networking that was Paul Revell's trademark as Virginia's Urban Forest Coordinator for nearly twenty years.

To honor our dear friend and colleague, Paul Revell, and in line with his wishes, VNRLI has created the Paul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Paul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund with more than $10,000 in founding donations.

Paul was gratified to know that a scholarship fund would be established in his name and that memorial gifts would be used to provide scholarships to ensure that money was not a barrier to participation in VNRLI.

In March we mourned the loss of Paul Revell. He will be remembered as a dedicated public servant who strived to protect Virginia's environment and ensure the success of its communities.

Paul valued the Virginia Natural Resources Leadership Institute as an asset to Virginia's environmental community, first as a participant in 2008 and as a faculty team member in subsequent years. He worked tirelessly to help us identify the best candidates for VNRLI, and to find funding sources for those for whom finances represented a barrier to participation.

To honor Paul's commitment to VNRLI, we are excited to announce the Paul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund. Founding donations are being made now by Paul's friends, colleagues, urban forestry communities, and supporters of VNRLI.

Join us in honoring Paul's legacy by giving to the Legacy Fund here (please see donation instructions below before making your gift).

For online donations, please include the "Paul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund" in the notes box.

Gifts can also be made via check to the UVA School of Architecture Foundation and sent to PO Box 400122 Charlottesville, VA 22904. Please include thePaul Revell Legacy Scholarship Fund in the memo line.

You can read Paul's obituary in the Charlottesville Daily Progress here.

With thanks and best wishes,
