Plant It Portland Makes Tree Planting Fun!

Friends of Trees in Portland, OR are approaching the fourth year in their "Plant it Portland" campaign.  “Plant It Portland!”  will add 16,000 street trees on strips between the sidewalk and the street. They’ll plant trees and watch them grow, and hopefully, see some of the stormwater go. Through whimsical graphics and grassroots efforts - including yard signs, door hangers and community outreach - the Plant It Portland! campaign imparts to homeowners a sense of civic
duty and encourages action during the tree-planting season. The Plant It Portland! campaign highlights four key benefits that “grow” on trees: Better Health,Energy Conservation, A Safer Community and Money.
