I am planting a native tree shelter belt to provide wind and good sound protection to replace trees damaged and killed by hurricane Katrina. Trees planted in a box pattern, one tree planted, five feet to south another tree, same to east and west, all five feet apart, with center a compost pile of whatever tree leaves i can find, started in 2008, scyamore 12 feet tall, red maples 8-10 feet tall, one bald cypress 14 feet(maybe planted in 2007), shelter belt a good sound barrier with I-10 traffic noise to north, anyone on gulf coast rehabbing hurricane damage, if so what rehab are you doing?
