The Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries, University of Tennessee, Knoxville has a M.S. Assistantship available beginning in the fall of 2011. University of Tennessee Urban Forestry Committee Meeting at University of Tennessee Ag Campus

The goal of the committee is to develop an Urban Forestry concentration within the current Forestry major that will produce graduates prepared to enter into the forestry profession in an urban environment. The committee will accomplish their goal by identifying existing courses, and recommending the development of new courses, that fit together into a coherent and effective curriculum.

Thanks for the reply Sharon. I myself am a UT FWF grad 05'. Currently work as a municipal forester and think it's a great idea. There are some great foresters up there and traditional forestry should be it's home. Again let me know if we can be of any help.
