Oregon lost a true treasure when Maynard Drawson passed away in December at age 87. Many, many people throughout the state knew Maynard, sometimes affectionately as “Maynard the Tree Man”. If you're looking for a good book for your summer reading list, I recommend "Last Child in the Woods" by Richard Louv. He talks about 'nature-deficit disorder' and how we need to get kids back in touch with nature.
