Great idea Marlen. The purpose of American Grove was for people to plant trees then post photos of them planting the tree on American Grove, often in memory or in honor of someone and then share it with them online and at the same time encourage others to do the same. Then you can true demonstrate the labor of love and enjoy being outdoors. So there is that and I hope you will post such a photo. Many local tree non-profits like Friend of the Urban Forest, Trees Atlanta, will do it for $25, because that more accurately reflects the cost of planting a tree and having it survive. I mention this because you would not want to start a program where you could not actually do what you are claiming to do. It might be why American Greeting Cards discontinued it. I will look around for other resources. Sincerely, Neil
Be sure to join your state grove and welcome to the American Grove! We hope you enjoy our Tree Passion and share some of yours. I notice you are from Ohio where the Johnny Appleseed Society is very active. As a mater of face, descendent John Chapman just joined the American Grove.
