- I plant trees because....
- In my own yard within the last three years I have planted a fringe tree, service berry, willow oak, dwarf crabtree and dogwood. The willow oak, sadly, was planted to take the place of a magnificent pin oak that died with bacterial leaf scorch. The dogwood and crabtree were planted in an area where a large pine was removed due to accumulated damage from a couple of ice storms.
