Tater Knob Chestnut Dig 12-06-2011 001

A crew was assembled and over 30 chestnut sprouts were dug to create a mother orchard of native American chestnuts (an orchard for each ecoregion of Kentucky). These sprouts will be used in a controlled breeding program to create blight resistant American chestnut seedlings.
