Cornell Elementary Planting, Saydell CSD

Trees For Kids planting. 28 Kindergartners, with help from the high school honors biology class, and many parent volunteers planted 55 landscape trees throughout the Elementary School campus. There was a whole-school assembly about trees and the environment before hand, as well as a whole-school turnout when the volunteer fire dept showed up to water the trees with their fire truck.

Lunch was eaten under the shade of a beautiful Silver Maple. It was a great event!
