MEMBER PROFILES

How do I create a profile picture?
- Click on "My Page" in the top tool bar
- Click on "Manage My Photo" on the left-hand column
- Hit the "Browse" button to locate the photo on your computer
- Once you have selected a photo, click on the green "Save" button on the bottom of the page

How do I change my profile name?
- Click on "My Page" on the top tool bar
- Click on "Manage My Page" on the left-hand column
- Click on "Profile" in the left-hand column
- Change your name in the "Full name" box
- Click the green "Save" button on the bottom of the page

How do I change my e-mail address?
- Click on "My Page" on the top tool bar
- Click on "Manage My Page" on the left-hand column
- Click on "Profile" in the left-hand column
- Change on the "Change" link next to your current e-mail address
- Click the green "Save" button on the bottom of the page

How do I get fewer e-mails from The Grove?
- Click on "My Page" on the top tool bar
- Click on "Manage My Page" in the left-hand column
- Click on "Email" in the left-hand column
- Uncheck the boxes corresponding to e-mails you no longer wish to receive
- Click the green "Save" button

How do I view members alphabetically?
- Click on "Members" on the top tool bar
- Change the "sort by" drop-down menu to alphabetical

How do I create a profile for my organization?
- List the organization's name in the "Full Name" space when creating a new Ning account
- Share the e-mail address and password with the organization members managing your account on The Grove
- Share your organization's updates as status updates on your profile

How do I invite someone within The Grove to be my friend?
- Click on either “Members” or “Group”  
- Click on “Search," “Member Name” or “Group”
- Once you an on the profile of the person you want to add, click on “Add as Friend” in the left column
- You must wait for your friends to approve you before they are added to your friends list
Note: You may add a comment on anyone’s wall even if you are not "friends"

How do I invite news friends outside of The Grove?
- Click on “My Page”  
- Click on “Quick Add” on pull down menu in far right column
- Choose “Invite Friends” on pull down menu
- Either import from address book or type in e-mail addresses

GROUPS

How do I join my State Grove group?
- Click on your State Grove located under “Groups”
- Click on the “+ Join [state] Grove Group” located in the right corner under the main photo

How do I create a blog post for my state group?
- Click on your State Grove located under “Groups”
- Click on the “+ Start Discussion”
- Add a title in the top box and the article in the larger box below
- Add one or two-word tag that describes the subject of the post; if it's two words, include quotations marks around both words (example: "tree planting")

BLOGS, PHOTOS, VIDEOS, EVENTS

How do I create a blog post on The Grove?
- Click on "Blogs" on the top tool bar
- Click on "+ Add a Blog Post" located in the right corner under the main photo
- Add a title in the top box and the article in the larger box below
- Add one or two-word tag that describes the subject of the post; if it's two words, include quotations marks around both words (example: "tree planting")
- Your blog post will not be visible until approved by the site administrator

How do I create a photo album of my tree plantings?
- Click on "My Page" on the top tool bar
- Click on "My Albums" on the left-hand column
- Click on "+ Add an Album" located in the right corner under the main photo
- Add a title and description to explaining your tree planting
- Move photos from the left-hand box to the right-hand box (you must have photos already uploaded)

How do I upload videos?
- Click on "Videos" under "Resources" on the top tool bar
- Click on "+ Add" located in the right corner under the main photo
- You may either upload from your computer (must be less than 100mb) or embed a video from another service like Hulu or YouTube (this option is on the right sidebar)

How do I share a video uploaded in my profile?
- Go to YouTube Sidebar Widget and click “Add to my page”
- Any video that you uploaded will now be shared in your profile

How do I upload events?
- Click on "Events" under "Resources" on the top tool bar.
- Click on "+ Add" located in the right corner under the main photo.
- Submit the information of your event in the fields.  The default photo for American Grove Events will be used, unless you upload your own photo in the field provided. 
- Once the required fields of information for your event are complete, click on "Submit" to post the event.

How do I post events in my State Grove?
- You must be a state coordinator to submit an event in a state grove.
- If you are a state coordinator, add an event or go to an event per the instructions above under "How do I upload events?"
- Copy the event’s internet address that you find in the address window of your browser.  
- Go to your state group by clicking on "Groups," then entering your state name in the search box.
- Under the information box, under "upcoming events and sponsors" click on "Edit."
- Enter the name of the event and then hyperlink it by clicking on the "LINK" tool and paste the event's internet address from the step above in the box named "Link URL."
- Click on "OK."
