Crape Myrtle Pruning at ELMWOOD Historic Cemetery

volunteers needed for Saturday, May 28th, from 9:00 to 11:30
Meet in front of the Chapel.
supplies needed: clippers, loppers, & pruning saws

During his work to re certify Elmwood's Arboretum, Nick Bridgeman discovered many Crape Myrtles had been incorrectly pruned.

On Saturday, May 28, Certified Arborist, Jim Volgas will demonstrate how to correct improper pruning on Crape Myrtles. He will then provide advise and assistance to volunteers.

Sorry, but I will be out of town - really hate to miss as proper

pruning is something that I am not sure about

I added this to events on the main page.  Thank you for organizing!  Crape Myrtles are great practice for good pruning technique!
