Environmental Design with Trees

The workshop is designed for landscape architects, city planners and engineers involved with developing green spaces in the urban environment. Attendees will learn about what to consider at the site when selecting tree species, features of native trees, how to protect existing trees during construction and learn the correct planting procedures that can determine the trees long term health and increase the tree’s ability to become established sooner. Registration fee is $20 for AUFC members and $35 for non-members. Lunch is sponsored by McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc.

The Arkansas Audubon Society still has a few slots open for their natural history workshops on Edible Native Plants and Trees and Native Tree ID to be held at Ferncliff Camp west of Little Rock on Oct 2-3. Check it out at www.arbirds.org.
