2015 Great American Tree Competition

Elma American Chestnut

There are two American Chestnut trees here. The second one is hidden behind the one shown. They have been certified as Castanea dentata by a 'Consulting Forest Pathologist and Forester' on January 2, 2001. One of the trees is three feet dbh and the other one is roughly four feet dbh. Estimated age of both is greater than 100 years. Location is Elma, WA 98541.
