Oregon State University will offer its Urban Forestry Course online again this year - scheduled for Fall Quarter 2012 and Winter Quarter 2013. FOR/HORT 350 Urban Forestry is a three-credit college course covering the breadth and depth of the Urban Forestry topic. Participants in the class will come away with a better understanding of the history and scope of urban forestry, the technical foundations of urban forestry practice, and the challenges of administering municipal urban forestry programs. This is a great option for people to learn more about trees and urban forestry without having to travel to OSU’s campus in Corvallis. It is also well suited to people who work in fields that impact urban forestry, such as land use planning, public works, engineering, and landscape architecture. More information on this course is available online at the OSU Ecampus website: http://ecampus.oregonstate.edu.
