Event Description
Come join us celebrate Arbor Day and our Military Forces by planting trees, to beautify the Veterans' Cemetery.
“The Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery is a special place,” says John Campanini, technical director of the Rhode Island Tree Council. “We want it to be as beautiful as Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. We are hoping that people will bring their families and make a day of it.”
As part of the tree planting effort, members of the Rhode Island Tree Council will be on hand to provide instructions on how to correctly plant, mulch, and water trees.
So come and be a part of this special event.
